To help with your claim, smarterclaims reads sensitive things: your refusal letter, your policy and your personal details. Here's exactly what happens to them.
The AI behind smarterclaims is operated by Lexity.ai AG, a Swiss legal-AI platform built for confidential legal work and trusted by law firms. Your documents are processed on its secure, independently audited infrastructure.
Your data is never used to train AI.
Not by us and not by the AI providers behind the tool. Every provider we use is contractually barred from training or fine-tuning on anything you send us, and your documents are deleted from their systems straight after your letter is generated. Your refusal letter never becomes someone else's training data.
No one reads your documents by default.
The system is built so that a person reading your file is the exception, not the rule. No member of staff can open your documents without your explicit permission, the live system is walled off from everyday access, and every access-related action is logged.
Your data stays in Europe, encrypted.
Your documents are stored on Microsoft Azure in Switzerland. Everything is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), kept behind private networking, and never mixed in with anyone else's data.
Your files are deleted within 24 hours.
smarterclaims doesn't keep your documents. Your uploads and your finished pack sit in encrypted, isolated storage for a maximum of 24 hours, purely as a safety buffer in case your email needs re-sending. Then they're permanently and automatically deleted. There's no account, no archive, no “research set”. The only things kept are basic transaction records (your email and payment reference), which we're legally required to hold for accounting.
It's checked by auditors, not just promised.
The platform behind smarterclaims is ISO 27001 certified (the global standard for information security, checked by an independent auditor), kept under continuous monitoring, and penetration-tested by outside security firms. So you don't have to take any of this on faith.
